Summer Update - July 2026
Hello Friends,
We are getting into the summer doldrums of birding and I no longer have an excuse to procrastinate on a newsletter update. As some of you may know, when I’m not guiding for grouse in Colorado, I work as an expedition lecturer & guide for Silversea Cruises. I had an incredible voyage this May/June sailing from Portugal to Iceland on a 35 day contract. The northern British Isles, the Faroe Islands, and Iceland were particularly rewarding places to work. We visited vast seabird colonies where we got up close to puffins & razorbills, saw many whales, including a rare pod of Orcas in Scotland, and endless spectacular landscapes. I’ve already been contracted for next summer in Iceland and Greenland so please reach out if you are interested in joining. Below are some of my photographic highlights from the journey.
